Practical information for participants of Austria Camp 2020

We understand that even though the camp is going ahead, it might not be possible for everyone to participate. Some will have trouble finding flights and some maybe just don’t feel like traveling and/or training at the moment. We fully respect that, of course. While we are usually never able to offer credit vouchers or refunds for camp tickets, the situation this summer of course calls for a bit more flexibility. So you have the options of receiving a lifetime credit voucher for any future camps/merchandise (no expiration date) or request a refund.

Of course, it is no secret that this virus has put an incredible amount of pressure on our small business. Many camps affected so far, a large number of refunds, payment processor companies changing their refund policies, our many non-refundable operations expenses for the postponed camps, the difficulties of selling tickets at the moment, the uncertainty about the future and we could go on and on.

We understand that everyone’s situations are different in these strange times, but should you be in a position to be able to take a credit voucher instead of a refund, that would be a tremendous help and support for us, so we can continue to host camps when this is over. Regardless, there is no rush for you to decide. We don’t have any deadline. You can decide today, in a week, next year or in 10 years. A quick note on refunds: Due to the large amounts of money we need to move around for this, refunds will take longer to process than usual. We do them as quickly as we can, but we need to manually wire transfer funds to our credit card processor in order to have enough credit on our account there. The original payments have already been transferred to our bank long ago. So we first try to get an overview of how much that is, so we can do it in large batches. In a normal scenario, we always do instant refunds (5-10 business days) but in these times, it’s a bit more complicated. We hope for your understanding of this. Should you request a refund and would accept a small deduction (around 3-4%) due to our lost transaction fees, it would help us a lot too. If you don’t actively mention it, we will refund you the full amount.
